Shop to End Hunger
“Shop to End Hunger” is a program that brings together grocery retailers, manufacturers and consumers in a united effort to raise funds for local food banks. Participating retailers and manufacturers donate a pre-determined amount to Feeding America. Selected items are then marketed under the “Shop to End Hunger” banner (or another name chosen by the retailer). Funds raised are distributed to our network member food banks serving the communities of each grocery chain.
The promotion raises awareness among shoppers on the issue of hunger in local communities. Consumers can support the program through the purchase of selected brands sold at participating locations.
We would like to acknowledge the following retailers for supporting and participating in this program, now in its third year: Brookshires, Cub Foods, Hy-Vee, Kroger, New York Metro Area Retailers, Price Chopper, Super Saver, Russ’s Market and Winn-Dixie.
